great idea! interesting beginning and good job alluding to previous events important to your narrator. I think you need to work on grammar and make sure to edit this draft. There are ways of writing to show emotion without using non-sentences like "damn." or "screw them." Look at some of your favorite books and try to emulate their style of writing. Published authors use tools to convey the messages and emotions of their characters without saying outright how they feel. In other words showing instead of telling.

My ex is confusing me, what to do?

I broke up with my ex about a week ago. She hasn't contacted me since. But she added me as a friend on facebook, and now she takes the time to email me to say that my email account got hacked (You know, those ones where it sends out spam from your email address) I think I got it sorted, as I changed my password. But anyway, she doesn't contact me for all this time, then she says this. She told my best mate that she cheated on me, and then when I confronted her, she denied it altogether. I loved this girl so damn much. I tried everything to make it work. She was my world, and I had it threw back into my face. We were best friends for about five years in high school, and she liked me for about a year beforehand. She wants it back to the friendship stage, where we could be like we were then. It seems like a good idea from the start, but I don't see it working as she hurt me. What does anyone make of this? What is she trying to do? She told me herself that she wasn't ready for a commitment. Yet, she could have told me that before.

I slipped and fell at walmart?

I slipped and fell in the produce department of wal-mart. I strained to try to keep from falling and came down in a kneeling position on my right knee. When I got up I walked with a limp and I reported it to wal-mart. The first employee who responded noticed the produce sprayer that sprayed water on the veggies was facing out in the walkway. I also noticed the floor was wet and there were rugs in front of the produce that were wet and no wet floor signs were in place. They took pics of where I fell there was a mark about a foot and half long on the floor where I slid and fell. They also said they took pics of the sprayer. I had a dirt mark mud type substance on my knee but they said they were not allowed to take pics of my knee. I filled out an incident report and went to ER a few hours later. Nothing broke put me off work 2 days, told me to follow up with my Dr, and offered pain meds which I told them I didn't want because I don't tolerate them well. Did not offer anything else for pain I called back next day to ask for something for pain said to take Motrin OTC four tabs 800mg. I followed up with my ortho dr on the second day I seen the PA in the walk in clinic best they could do. He viewed x-rays from ER said looked ok diagnosis right knee contusion and strain. Said to wear brace from 3-6 weeks till healed and if gets worse or starts to swell alot to come back. I am concerned because I have had problems with this knee in the past osteoarthritis, but have not been to Dr. in over 2 years. I am not sure if more problems will arise from this I still walk with limp and its sore and painful but only 2 days out from accident so who know what will come. Do I have a case and what am I entitled to? I read Wal-Mart cases are tough but I am sure they were negligent because sprayer was facing walk way and no wet floor signs were posted and I am sure rugs were in place because of the potential of water getting in the floor from the sprayers.

I personally think that wives need to show their humility and gratefulness to their husband for taking them as a wife. However, it needs to be done in sincerity. Opinions on my poem please - Hummingbird?

I know what bothers me right from the start. Poetic license aside, the mental imagery of branches consuming a sun's dying breath, as though they were the actors upon the star's demise makes them seem sinister. The foreshadowing this does, doesn't match the overall tone of the poem. These branches, presumably, belong to the very trees that have grown by the end and become a forest. So the trees, signify the consuming of the very light of day. The sun should not be having a dying breath at all, it should be winking through the branches, as though the grandpop of the poem is smiling down at the subject. That would set off changes for the better, later in the poem, I think.

She would some back for Amelia… someday… hopefully. Amelia Grace stopped crying, just for a moment, and reached up. Okay, I just finished my freshman year at high school, and the first day of school that year, I immediately started crushing on this guy- like MAJOR-ly. I'm one of those girls that will like a guy until I don't see him anymore- yeah I know, it's weird. I haven't stopped liking him... and I think he MAY like me.... Lol the first day of school, our Advisement Professor asked us what our goals were for that year, and he said (outloud) "My goal is to get with that blonde girl in the front row" and I looked around and I was the only blonde in the front row... My friend would put a check mark on my paper every time he looked at me, and at the end of class, I would have at least twenty checks on my paper... I purchased Burge's Ear Training Super course and have made it through several of the stages, but find it difficult to stay disciplined doing this alone. Out of all the musician's I've approached, none of them seem interested in pursuing any rigorous aural training, let alone perfect pitch. It would help so much to talk to others who are on the same road. Does anyone know of a website or forum in which people are actively involved in training for this perception? I DO NOT mean a debate as to whether your born with it, what it is, or whether it's valuable to have. I'm interested in knowing if there is any one else out there who believes that perfect pitch can be learned and wants to do so, or is in the process.

We've been speaking everyday for the past few months. I was meant to go to the same uni as him and I told him I;m not sure if I'll be there and I think he was a little upset I might not and agreed we could meet in the summer . Does he still like me? even though our chats aren't as long or frequent but still tells me everything going on in his life. Is it just that we were at the getting to know each other stage and now we're past that and he doesn't need to talk to me as much? We always joke with each other about how we know each other so well. Did I just have a seizure or an epileptic attack?

ok i have seizures and its hard but here is something easy to understand. there are many types, maybe it was an absence seizure when you blank out for a minute and then get tired and dizzy and throw up or and also if it was that you wouldn't shake but you would feel stuffy and hot, if you do then your doc would tell you. End Stage Liver Disease - Prognosis?

hi, my mum has end stage liver disease. she is being released from hospital today after only 4 days in there. She has had her varicies banded, (3 in total, she was throwing up blood and lost a lot of blood) and is badly jaundiced. They have been pumping her body with everything and have drained over 5 litres from her abdomen. They have said he liver will never repaired it self and has failed. I'm a bit concerned she is being released so early, as previously she has been in for a couple of weeks. Is she being released because there is nothing more they can do for her and its likely she will pass soon? Also how long can the body function with a failed liver? If anyone has any personal experience on this or is a doctor i'd be very grateful for your responses. The doctors will not answer my questions due to patient confidentiality. Her blood doesn't clot and her eyes are very jaundiced. Many thanks for your help.

How is this prologue? Do you feel the emotion? Where should I edit it?

I loved the first paragraph. It is a very dramatic and intense death scene. I like the details and the intricacies of a potential vampiric death. It seems to take longer than is traditional but it is wonderfully vivid. The rest of it (for me) is teen romantic drivel. I don't have a problem with her loving a vampire it is just the extremism of it all. He being the only vamp she could ever stand, the only one she ever loved because he was a good vampire? I have a problem with animal blood drinking vamps when he could just get some from a local blood bank. But otherwise this kindly vampire thing doesn't sit well with all readers of vampire lore.

Help need information about child abuse?

i'm 14 and my parents told me to change to go to the doctors then they said the doctors closed so i don't have to go after i change clothes they yelled at me to get ready to go because the doctor came back and i said no that i didn't want to go anymore, they started yelling at me and we started arguing then she yelled at me to lie down on the floor with my stomach on the ground (this is the position she always told me to go in when i'm about to get hit) she then knelt next to me with a metal fly swatter then started yelling at me why'd i argue with her and i'd respond and she'd yell at me to shut then started hitting the metal part of the fly swatter really hard on my butt about 3 time and told me who here was the child and who was the adult she kept hitting me till i'd respond after taking a couple of more blows it hurt so much i had to sit up and try to get away from her but she kept hitting me till i apologized and say i was wrong, this was always my punishment for talking back or getting in trouble and every time i'd have these big red welts on my but she's been doing this all my life and i'm really scared please tell me if this is child abuse? i'm scared and confuse. my parents feed me and my brother both and we have food and shelter but they're always threatening to kill us when were in trouble or do something bad. I've tried calling the child abuse hotline but no one would pick up and i'm scared of filing a report and they'd find out that i did it that they might hit me again

I sprained/rolled my ankle yesterday, should i dance today?

So yesterday in gym i was running and my ankle totally gave out on me and rolled and i felt A LOT of pain. Plus, it was in gravel so i have a pretty bad scrape on my knee, that hurts when I kneel. Why am i having chest pains? heart attack?

My heart rate is normal and blood pressure is normal. It feels like idk... pressure in the area of my heart and occasional feeling similar to heart burn. Lots of discomfort. Though my heart rate is normal, it seems unusually high slightly. I am highschool now college athlete. Sometimes when im kneeling and i go up fast i get a half feeling of passing out. My gram has cervical cancer?

she has stage 4 cervical cancer and needed 2 blood transfusions. How do I help my pup overcome a fear of large dogs?

I have a 4 and a half month old corgi pup and yesterday I took her to the dog park for the first time. My boyfriend and I practiced come and off leash walking. Now she leaves with a large Labrador and my bf's parents have an over sized border collie with both she is fine with and i thought she would be fine around other dogs but when two shepherds (German and a large mix) approached her yesterday she flipped out and started yelping. I knelt down and sat her on my knee and their level and patted them to showed her that they weren't gunna hurt her but as soon as I walked off she was still terrified. How to I help her with this? its not bad, i also have a dragunity deck, but what you could do is add lord of D. to protect your dragons and add at least one flute of summoning dragon to quickly get your strong dragons on the field.and i also recomend adding more cards that add cards from the graveyard to your hand, so you can take advantage of dragunity aklys' effect, and be sure to protect him once he's in the grave. and i dont think you should use dark hole, since dragunity monsters swarm the field and kill your opponent quickly anyway, but you can if you want to.

also i have been diagnosed with asthma before but have not had a major problem since i was 13. It started recently a few days ago and every time i walk to the train station (which you have to walk a short uphill sidewalk from where i live) i cant breath afterwords and i have to sit down or kneel or it hurts, and it still hurts when sitting but it eases it more at least. I don't know if to go to the hospital because after a few minutes it does go a way with rest but the recovery time of feeling better has gotten longer. I've been speaking to this guy for 4months online , we ended up talking randomly in this university forum. We both happened to apply for the same one. Discomfort and pressure in my stomach during pregnancy? (someone please help.)?

Last time I mentioned this on Y!A I was told to go to the hospital which I think is stupid. I'm having mild cramps through out the day (every day) slight occasional pain a few times a week (nothing severe or long lasting) and no bleeding. But my lower abdomen feels... heavy almost, there's a lot of weird pressure and its very uncomfortable. This is my first pregnancy and I am just about 12 weeks along. I'm confused as to what's going on, my friends who've been pregnant usually haven't experienced this when they were in their early stages of pregnancy, also I'm not gaining too much weight but I'm showing a lot more than I should be, I look about 20+ weeks along, my baby book says constipation makes bowels swell and makes your stomach bigger...? Quick fyi I've had an ultra sound and everything is great they could see the heart beat and my hcg leves are super high, id just like someone to make sense of all the pressure and discomfort.

There are so many different "opinions" out there and I don't know who's advice to follow. I live in the desert southwest where the temperatures are regularly hitting 100 degrees. I have huge patches of grass that are dying. I have my sprinklers set to come on at 7am, three times a week for 25 minutes. First thing people assume is that I'm not watering the areas that are dying but I assure you that I have pretty good coverage. Next, some have said that I may have grub worms. Isn't the grass supposed to be able to be picked up like a rug since the roots have been eaten? Haven't found any evidence but I'm treating for grubs currently just in case. Finally, some think I may have a fungus. I don't know how to diagnose fungi but from the pictures I've seen online it doesn't match. Maybe I need to aerate? When's the best and/or worst times of the year to do this? I aerated my yard last June and lightly again at the beginning of this spring. I can't afford a machine so I'm forced to use a handheld step aerator. The grass that dies will turn a blue-ish grey for a day or two, then yellow. Huge patches mixed in with lush green healthy grass. I'm currently treating my yard in stages, insecticide (caged off due to pets), then followed by a fungicide a few days later. I know that these applications are probably to close together but I'm so frustrated that I'm willing to try anything! I failed to mention that starting early spring, I have been fertilizing every 4-6 weeks. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

Will bleaching hair 100% turn hair orange?

I'm seriously considering bleaching my hair. Naturally, it is medium brown; however, since I've spent a lot of time in the sun, my hair is now a light brown. Many people say that it turns your hair orange when bleached, during one of the stages. What fun outdoor activity's can i do in a fenced-in yard?

Mt sister's shih tzu fell about two feet off the ground. Is she okay?

She was limping for about two minutes after she fell. We were worried she had fractured a bone. She landed laying down and she hit her head. We heard the fall. After about two minutes, though, she began to run around and hop as if nothing had happened. I had her in my arms and had knelt down to let her run around the floor, but she slipped off my arms before I could put her down. We checked her feet, paws, and head for signs of injuries but everything seems to be fine. She's not whinnying and doesn't cry when we examine her. She is about to turn four months. She's still running all over the place and doesn't seem to be hurting. I'm just worried since she was not limping, but kind of hopping for two minutes after she fell. Thanks.

This weekend I was really upset because I got into a huge fight with my abusive mother when I called her for the first time in several months. Chondromalacia syndome, anyone help?

okay so about a year ago I got diagnosed with chondramalacia patellae syndrome and got reffered to physio. I did this for a few months and it started getting better so they discharged me. In the last few weeks my knee's started getting worse again and the physio doesn't seem to be helping anymore. It hurts to straighten or bend my knee completely and kneeling is impossible coz of the pain. I'm trying to stay off it as much as possible but some things i can't avoid like college. By the time i've got home from college my knee is swollen from walking on it. by the time i go to bed i can hardly walk on it. should i ask for crutches?

Should I go to a doctor about my knee?

How do I potty train my soon to be 19 month old?

My daugher is 18 month and has about three more days before she turns 19 months. I wanted her potty trained by 18 months but I haven'tbeen consistent with the potty training. When I sit her on the potty I use the "potty" myself to try to demonstrate to her what she's supposed to be doing. Then, I would clap so she would know it's a good thing. However, this doesn't work, all she does is get off the potty, squat, and pees on the bathroom floor lol. Her father kneeled down in front of her a few times while she was on the potty and he pretended to be using the bathroom and eventually she passed gas, which was a good sign that she grasped the concept. So, my question is how do I get her to understand what she is supposed to be doing? What are some potty training techniques that you used for your child(ren)?

I'm finding Resident Evil 5 really difficult?

Stay in that hut where you can push the shelf to the door. Not the first one, the one that is next to that bus thing. There is a machine gun in that area too if you want it. It is next to that gate that is locked. Two player is easier. If you don't know how to get two player, start a game then have a second player press start. Try to melee the executioner once. Don't hit a second time or he'll swing his axe around. Don't feel bad, it took me about a month to beat the game. There are way harder levels than that, but you'll have better guns.

80 yr Old Dad in End Stage CHF Lasix slowly working?

Our Dad was admitted to the hospital for the second time in a week yesterday. He had over 32 lbs of water weight. They upped him from 1/2 lasix water pill to 4 last week and sent him home. He ended up in ER yesterday with same 30 lbs water being retained. I spoke with his doctor and they are going to remove as much water as they can and send him home in a day or two. I am his health POA and I asked the Dr where do we go from here? He said day by day, he is going to send him home on oxygen and have some home health aides come in a few times per week. I asked the nurse if she though he could continue living alone until this fall and she told me I'd be fortunate to still have him than? I am scared has anyone gone thru this? Okay so about last thursday I got bitten by to deer ticks in the nymph stage, the first one was on my left ankle and removed on thursday night. Then the second one was found on my left leg and removed friday morning. The camp nurse told me to get checked out and then I came back to the nurse maybe an hour later because I started to become nauseated and was running a fever. Lately, I've been very tired and have had around 8-9 hours asleep a day. P.S. I am 15. I really can't say if my leg hurts because my ankle is sprained too. There is no bulls-eye and I am keeping an eye out for it, if it forms. So should I go to the doctors still?

My Knee Pops out and really hurts when I bend down?

Since last Tuesday when I bend or kneel down I get this really sharp pain on the inside of my knee and it pops out of place. I don't think I have down anything in particular to hurt it but I am an international competitor in dance and so do a lot of training. Sometime when I try and straighten it again it feels like its stuck and I have to wait a few seconds for it to stop hurting. It is a tiny bit swollen on the inside of my knee but its barely noticeable and when my knees are slightly bent there is a small lump where the pain is but thats it? Anyone else experienced this?

this has happened to me before. if it happened when you stood up then you just got up too fast. i call it the "flashbang effect" because you get dizzy, a slight ringing in your ear, and you go blind for a few seconds. i wouldnt worry too much about it unless it lasts longer than 30 seconds
